Easter Exhibition 2026
- On Thursday 2 April at 11:00 am, Gallerie Gjøl will host the official opening of the new season with an Easter exhibition. This year’s exhibition features six talented artists from Denmark and the Netherlands. The artists are Helle Rask Crawford, Danny Heinricht, Caroline Hesselink, Aris Kampas, Rasa Dzimidaviciute Olesen and Peter van Oostzanen.

Aerial ballet of paper aeroplanes
2026From the top of a beach dune, a bearded man releases hundreds of red paper aeroplanes into the cloudy sky. In the distance stand a narrow hotel and a parked car, lending the landscape a dreamlike quality. The watercolour captures a playful and surreal moment of letting go and freedom.
Stranded thoughts
2026A red armchair stands in the middle of a beach, surrounded by scattered suitcases and countless pieces of paper being blown away by the wind. In the distance, a classic car, a blue 2CV, stands at the water’s edge, whilst the cloudy sky evokes a restless, dreamlike atmosphere. The watercolour depicts a moment of chaos or memories that are literally blowing away in the wind.
Time with wine and words
2026The drawing depicts a bright red, classic armchair that stands out strikingly against an otherwise grey beach scene. Next to the chair lies a closed book, whilst to the right a wine bottle and a half-full glass stand in the sand. In the background, gentle waves roll in, creating a dreamy and almost surreal atmosphere.
Tide times
2026A red armchair stands alone on a sunny beach overlooking the calm sea. Scattered around the chair are a table, a table lamp and various bottles and food scraps. The watercolour evokes a surreal atmosphere of an abandoned living room in the open countryside, waiting for the tide to go out.
