This painting shows the old hotel, a narrow, building with blue shutters and the text “HOTEL DE LA PLAGE” on the facade. In front of the hotel, a Citroën 2CV is parked on the sand surrounded by grass and a vast beach. Behind the building you can see the sea under a soft purple-yellow sky. The scene has a nostalgic and serene feel to it, as if time has stood still.
